We’re St. Louis Indoor Produce (SLIP), an ag-tech start-up in St. Louis, Missouri designed to revolutionize the way we grow food. Our lighting lab is building the most powerful and energy efficient LED grow lights on the market, and as we test them we’re constantly growing food!
Our mission is two-fold. We believe that everyone should have access to fresh produce. To increase food security across our city, so we now offer sliding scale packages of the vegetables grown on site. We also believe modern day agriculture is ripe with room for improvement. So we’re developing sustainable lighting solutions that are affordable to operate and install. And the liquid cooling technology allows you to actually reuse all the energy generated by the heat of the lamp!
In our perfect world, vacant urban infrastructure would be transformed into a patchwork of indoor farms, operated by the people who need good food most. It might take us a while, but with your help it really could happen. The future is bright, friends.
